Principal's Message

 

Dear West Boulevard Families,

We are so happy to begin the 2025-26 school year and we welcome you to be involved at West Boulevard! This year, we are excited for the extension of the elementary school day in the district. The school day begins no later than 8:10 AM and ends with dismissal at 3 PM.  Our young Spartans should see many benefits from the increased time with our excellent teachers and staff. 

Our School is a two-time winner of the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award.  West first won the prestigious honor in 2011, and most recently in 2020 as an "Exemplary High Performing School."  We are excited to be among a very select group across the nation to be awarded the National Blue Ribbon Schools award twice!

West was also recognized by the state of Ohio, as a 5-STAR Award winning school.  The Boardman School District  sets a high standard, and we are fortunate at West to have an incredible staff, enthusiastic students and very supportive parents.  These national and state  honors require everyone working together to achieve, and we are grateful.  

Boardman elementary school curriculum, like our "Really Great Reading" phonics program, our Math and STEM opportunities  have been very successful to build strong student scholars and good communicators.  We are always looking for opportunities to provide hands on learning with  social emotional needs and support by a very caring staff.
